CLT's Christmas production of Anne Of Green Gables - The Musical is the Donald Harron, Norman Campbell adaptation which premiered in 1971 and has been the centrepiece of the Charlottetown Festival since 1965.

The setting is the small village of Avonlea on Prince Edward Island in 1905. It is a rural, close-knit community where everybody knows everybody else's business and most students quit school at 16 to work on the family farm.

The show has 29 named characters - 7 teenaged females, 6 teenaged males, 10 adult females and 6 adult males.

We have two opportunities to audition - July 28, 29, 30 and August 11, 12, 13. Details will be posted soon.

Rehearsals for the main characters will begin in early October. Tech week will be from December 17-22. Performance dates are December 23 (matinee), December 26 (Matinee), December 27-29 (Evening), December 30 (Matinee), December 31 (Evening).
